Rolex Submariner 16800

I've always fancied getting my self a vintage Submariner and a deal has just come up were I would receive a 1985 Sub 16800. My idea is to send it to RSC London for a service, keep the dial & hands original and have them fit a new 93150 bracelet c/w new end links. Now the bill from RSC will be quite substantial so I've got to ask, is it worth it ?
if you look at the attached picture there is quite a gap between end link and lug, is this down to wear on the end link or wear on the lug, basically will a new bracelet & end links sort out the gaps ?
