Watchout! Forum

I just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone for the efforts they go to, everybody who takes the time to contribute both fishy posts/information/pictures and also prompt, expert opinions on the Watchout! forum.

For people who have AD's in their neck of the woods, having that access to Rolex-relevant information is sometimes taken for granted. For people like myself (closest AD is 250 miles away) it has proven to be a great educational tool and reference point for Rolex. With virtually zero exposure to the brand prior to me buying one (I never knew anyone who owns one IRL, and only ever saw them behind a display case once a few years ago), I found this site to be extremely resourceful.

I can see how anybody can be scammed by some of these fakes. For instance, when I test my knowledge against non-Rolex brands fake products like AP/Panerei/etc, I sometimes have a hard time distinguishing crap from the real thing. (Rolex, after a lot of studying and investigating, is getting a lot easier to spot the differences)

So just a quick word of thanks for all your efforts!

That's just one of the things that makes this a great place! I agree with you 100%!

If your closest AD is 250 miles away I suggest you move...

Problem with the Watchout! forum is when people just spam is incessantly (look at today and yesterday for example) with fakes that are so obviously so that they would never fool anyone. This has lead to the majority of the most knowledgeable people here avoiding the forum now.

By all means post up those suspicious looking watches you're not quite sure on or look right but price is too good to be true but posting up the $50 Canal Street type fakes that everyone knows is fake and look nothing but fake is just filling the forum with crap.
