Magnetizing a Rolex
Hi.
Anyone know if it's a real problem that a Rolex can be magnetised during normal use? (The models having the parachrome-blue doesn't have this problem of course)

Depends on what normal use is to you, if it is exposed to certain medical equipment or a strong speaker magment during normal use than yes and I have herd they run fast and do all sorts of strange stuff. Got to love Parachrom!

Just because it has the Parachrom mainspring doesn't mean the rest of the watch isn't impacted by magnetic fields, just that this piece isn't as vulnerable.

You really have to have your Rolex watch very close to a magnetic source (for instance a big loudspeaker) for a prolonged period of time to get your watch magnetized.
If it gets magnetized, it can be easily de-magnetized by your AD watchmaker while you wait.

That Milgauss should be able to handle harsh magnetic conditions, all I am saying is you should still take caution.

Can a watch be retrofitted with the new parachrome blue spring?
