Your favourite Submariner reference?
The submariner has to be one of Rolex's most iconic watches. But what is your favourite reference and why?

I think a red 1680 would be pretty high on my list.

114060. Retains the classic time only Sub look combined with all the modern upgrades that I love. Ceramic bezel, sturdier bracelet and clasp, glidelock and bulked up lugs.

But I have this 116613LB Stunner now and I have to say you need to see this baby in person, WOW, the weight on the wrist is substantial but not over bearing, the fit on my 7.5" wrists is perfect oh and it's truly outstanding to look at! It's Rolex through and through.

I own it and I agree... holes case, i have a two liner (clean), beautiful aesthetic with a vintage feel in a "modern" Rolex. Mine is a P serial #.

The 5513 is the one for me, I came a bit too late into the Rolex world for it to be a realistic purchase so I went for the next best thing, the 14060.
Why the 5513? The usual reasons used all the time to describe it, so I won't repeat them. But for me they are both The Submariners which have evolved from the first ones. |

I think this is my top reference for now......116619LB
It will not be any better than this at the moment for me if we are talking about the Sub. I love my 116610LN too as I believe its an Iconic watch. Really a musthave for every Rolex lover.

I think it's a great all rounder and feels just so solid and substantial. While I prefer the date, I admit the non-date looks better as it's symmetrical. I hope Rolex doesn't improve the SubC too much as I don't want to replace my 116610ln. It's just a beautiful watch. |
