Chipped gold on the hands?

Name: image.jpg
Views: 418

What is this? Debris, chipped gold? I see there are other blemishes on the hands, I can see it without a loupe. Is this something that you guys would take into RSC and have replaced and looked over completely or just leave it be? It got me kind of worried thinking if this got past QC, what else did on this watch? I just bought it a few days ago and was pretty upset when I noticed it. What would you guys do?

It could be that the gold is scratched. At least that's what it looks like to me and it's certainly something that was there when you bought it. I'd take it back to the seller and see if they will exchange it for a new one. You should not have to get a brand new watch "fixed" especially since you played no part in causing the damage.

It was purchased brand new, unfortunately it wasn't from an AD, so I dont know if that would be an option.

Ouch!

Take it back if its still under warranty. Bare in mind, new rolex policy watches bought during 2013 and beyond will be covered under 5 years warranty

I bought the watch about 3-4 days ago. So it does have the 5 year warranty, it's just unfortunate that I have to get a brand new watch fixed, like the post above stated.

There is also a speck above the 'O' in oyster. This watch should definitely be returned and replaced by a brand new one accompanied by a written apology from the Rolex CEO!

Dang Mohamad, that needs fixed. Can you exchange it? Unacceptable to me.

I may have to take it to RSC. Exchanges at this point are probably unrealistic since it wasn't purchased from an AD

I had to blow it up so you can see it in the photos. In person my eye can catch it easily.

Do you know for sure that the warranty card was swiped?

Does it matter in the USA? The warranty goes with the watch there. The RSC should honor it as long as he has the card.

I'll be taking it to RSC, very disappointed, I barely got to enjoy the watch before
I had to have it completely looked over, when that should've been 5 years from now

A case for buying from an AD.

Can someone confirm this? I was under the impression, watches purchased after July 2014 had one additional year added (3 years total), and watches sold after July 2015 have a total of 5 years.

Watches bought on or after July 1, 2013 get an extra year. From July 2015 it's five years.

I won't disclose who the seller was, he doesn't deserve a bad mark on his reputation. This was, I believe out of his hands, he got me a very good price on it from one of his suppliers and it was shipped straight from his supplier, he was not able to inspect the watch before hand. This is an issue directly linked to QC at Rolex. He's been very patient and been trying to help me as best he can along the way. Been putting up with my constant nit picking and questions. As frustrated as I am, I cannot pin this on the seller. Although he is a trusted seller on the forums. I do have the 5 year warranty, it just sucks that I barely got to enjoy the watch before I have to get it completely looked over at RSC before I can fully enjoy the watch again. At the moment, I don't really enjoy wearing it having a feeling that something is wrong with it.
