Can you imagine how big Rolex is?>>>

They have just add a few buildings at their factory and they build a extra house full of office.
Then they call the Swiss government and told them they have setup their new precious metal
control center for free and they just have to move in.

The Swiss govnerment accept it so now they have a building inside the Rolex factory.
This solution was cheaper for Rolex because they have to send in all the precious metal
for control and approving.

So maybe next step is to build a house for the COSC control?

Then everything will be inhouse.

Jocke

Yeah my friend in Switzerland was telling me of them wanting to expand. Now we know why the prices may be going up as well lol but still worth it. They love to make history, just awesome.

Imagine if Rolex became a monopoly in the watchmaking industry?

That is likely still a long shot but for me personally, I would not mind it. I can get by my entire lifetime with exclusively owning just Rolex watches. I see nothing wrong with that. If you dont think theres no versatility to that, just look at other models the brand has to offer.

big enough to give you hell if you stand in their way. But in all honesty, I think having inhouse control is actually a good thing, especially with sky high oil prices, you wouldnt need to go far, just pop into the office next door and straight to the watchmaker once everything is done

Good point. It makes me wonder, why does Rolex have to keep increasing their prices, at a faster pace than many other brands mind you, each and every year if most of what is uses for production are in house? I guess they still need to acquire those materials huh?

doesnt justify the jump in price imo. surely the amount of materials price increase on a per unit basis, does not justify the jumps seen in the USA and worldwide really. I think it is an excuse for more revenue.
