The unthinkable is happening

For those who know me and follow my posts you know that I incredibly love my Patek 5712, well I still love it a lot, but I can honestly say that I love as much or even a little bit more my ceramic diver, I have been in Ukraine for 1 month, in Odessa, not where the civil war is raging, and took both of them, and clearly I wear much more my diver, maybe 70/30, never imagined that I would love this watch so much, but it's a truly awesome piece, and I've always wanted a ceramic watch, almost bought a Pam 335 a few years ago but went with a 233 "dot" dial instead, as much as I liked the Pam before it is in no way in the same league as the AP IMO.

So thanks to all the enablers, Benlee in particular who posted many pics of his ceramic diver, and all the others who posted as well pics of this model, as much as I prefer the Nautilus models to the RO models, well except for the RG pieces, love the RG Jumbo and RG skeleton, but clearly prefer the PP SS models to the AP RO SS models, I incredibly love the ROO pieces, would love AP to make a 42mm RG with ceramic bezel, especially a diver, that would make me a perfect trio, crossing my fingers ...

If anyone is hesitating buying the ceramic diver, black or white, go for it, incredibly cool and comfortable watch

By the way can't believe how AP titanium is scratch resistant, my buckle after 2 months doesn't have the slightest scratch, incredible when you think of Pam Ti which scratches like butter, but like Paul told me here the Pams use grade 1 Ti when AP uses grade 5, you can really see there is a HUGE difference

Haha, I remember I told you a couple of months ago that you might sell your 5712 and you said never, so never say never again. Enjoy the ride, my friend.

I have bought and sold dozens of watches, but I think my AP Ceramic Diver is my all time favorite by a long shot. It is so great.

Ironically I just pulled mine out to put on and noticed a faint hairline scratch on one of the titanium links.

Hahaha, yes Neil you did, but again I still love my 5712, but as much or a little more the diver

I love my AP CE Diver too! But instead of the 5712, I have the AP Jumbo instead - fits my 7.5" wrist better.

Glad you've taken to it so well Arnaud! Might mean freeing up some funds for another AP? 5712 making a departure? (I smell a 44 RG your way )

Thats great news man, i'm glad!
Do you plan on getting rid of the 5712?
I feel that the diver and 5712 serve completely different purposes in a collection.
Diver being louder, and more casual, whilst the nautilus being quieter, more subtle, and sporty but on the dressier side.

Would hang on to both personally! Very different watches :)

I've been loving my diver. Neither my RG nor my 44 ceramic have hit the wrist since I picked it up.

Considering the white now!

Yeah I have 6.9 so the 5712 is perfect but for 7.5 the AP is better

No Tom the PP isn't going anywhere, love the diver but the PP is much nicer if you have long sleeve shirts, it's like I have a sport watch and a dress piece, even if it's supposed to be a sports watch, not my opinion but why not, would love if there would be a 42mm in RG and Ce bezel, diver or other

Nope the 5712 will stay, love both, yes diver louder and Naut quiet

RG with ceramic bezel would be tops but 44 is too big so Jumbo or skeleton, but not before a while

Glad you're enjoying! Everyday I love the AP brand more and more myself. I used to not want more than 1 watch oer brand, but could easily see myself pulling the trigger on a ROO in the future.

I have no idea on your lifestyle Arnaud, but if I were you, I'd flip the 5712 for a RG Jumbo. If you haven't tried one on before, you should. My wife and I both way before the 15400 over the 15202 in steel, but reverse that for the RG versions for us.

I think with that pair, you may not want to put another watch on.

To be honest I dont share your observation that ap is head over heals better than Pams. I have a pam 25 ti and it does not scratch like butter. Also have a 580 that has a ti buckle and just like your diver, no scratches.
