Would Rolex ever make a SS Ceramic Coke GMT?

Hi forum,

The title is pretty much says it all. How many of you would like to see a SS Ceramic Coke GMT, and do you think Rolex will ever make one?

Food for thought, Rolex?

Who wouldn't want to see it? And I've a feeling we will see one fairly soon but my intuition says it will be either another WG or more likely platinum.

Yeah that would probably be the case, but there's always hoping, right ;)

Here are your search results! You can have fun sifting through those but it's not exactly the simple "search and answer" the OP was looking for and you were advising.

In the meantime, I'll partake in the poll :)

Thanks for the link Chadri. I actually did do a search, but gave up after 10 minutes of shifting through the results. The only one I found in that time that was somewhat related was from March 2015. But that thread did not really answer my questions. Plus, I figured that quite some time had passed since then and there are many new members that may also have an opinion.

Well if sales of BLRO are a bit soft as some have said, then more chance of it being in SS, can't see it being in WG or plat either, the red/blue should have been plat then. Maybe in a couple of years once everyone and their mother has the BLNR.

Thanks Neil! That's definitely another good perspective.
They did make the BLNR in SS, so what's stopping them from making a Coke in SS.

I think SS Coke would compete too much and drop the sales of BLNR. But maybe I am wrong and BLNR would sell equal to Coke? In that case, it might make good business sense for Rolex to offer both. Maybe we need poll on that.

If that happens, I think the secondary market would be flooded with BLNRs.

Would Rolex ever make a SS Ceramic Coke GMT?

I would like to see customers have a choice like the Coke insert. In fact anyone buying a WG GMT ought to have that choice of Pepsi or Coke or any other insert available for the WG model as an AD interchangeable option. And while I'm at it, choice of bracelet too like bracelet from the WG Sub. But I'm a dreamer

While I'm dreaming let's have a Pt. GMT with ice blue dial and chocolate bezel insert.

There, I said it. Feel better now

Well as long as we're dreaming, how about just pricing the PM pieces the same as stainless and we just take our pick?

As for my previous thoughts on platinum, I agree with AK797 that I'm surprised Pepsi wasn't reserved for that metal. I suppose they wanted to add a WG model first, but I's have thought that would come in Coke leaving Pepsi for Pt and the ultimate grail. But as it stands there's no Coke or platinum and that's why I associate Coke with that possibility. I do think Rolex will add platinum models to both the GMT and the Sub. Though to me the ultimate would be a white dial Pepsi.

Possibly the reports that making the ceramic bezel in red is difficult and costly, and so supplies are limited

I think the Coke SS would be too similar to the BLNR if that makes sense?

That is what I have heard from the AD and different people have posted the same in previous threads here.

I would like to believe that sooner or later it will happen... I know I'll definitely get one

Rolex just has to make sure they get the red color right.

I suspect we might see a new color version of ceramic GMT in SS, not necessarily coke but something else entirely. Or a platinum one if they go full-retard on us (brown bezel and ice blue GMT yes please).
