AP Jumbo 15202... Steel or Red Gold

Hi Guys,

Need help deciding between the AP Jumbo 15202 Steel and Red Gold.
I really like the weight and look of the Red Gold with blue dial but the original steel version is also to die for.
The price of the RG is obviously much higher but given the choice based on looks alone which do you think is better.
Here is a pic of the Steel Jumbo, unfortunately did not click the RG when I tried it on.

Thanks

Have any pics with the RG?
If you can pull off the gold, I would pick that one!
My god what a beautiful combination with the blue dial!

If it's practical for you to wear the RG, or have other watches in your rotation, I would definitely pick the RG.

For me, I like the 15400 more in steel than the Jumbo; but the RG Jumbo wins it for me over the RG 15400.

Post some pics WHEN you get it!

I would love to spend your money on the RG but if it were me, the jumbo is steel and steel is my preferred metal. No need to fix what isn't broken

Isn't the History of the jumbo was all about the first steel watch in 1972? why would you get that in gold?

Certainly not the first steel watch, rather the audacious notion of pricing a steel watch higher than its gold counterparts.

I prefer RG Jumbo over RG 5711, but prefer SS 5711 over 15202 in SS

I mean, the steel is so classic and iconic but the RG is just next level. It's a grail of mine; to be frank one of the reasons I haven't pulled the trigger is that I am not sure how the two could co-exist in my collection, and it would be very tough to part with the steel.

If you have the means to get the RG... you just have to do it.

If you have enough occasions to sport the rg then that, a true beauty. I have steel as I wear mine frequently and would be uncomfortable wearing rg all the time.

Both look great, looks like your skin tone may work nicely w the RG, really one of those things I would want to try on before committing.

Steel. I am a RO Jumbo purist so yes, Jumbo should be in SS. It's designed with SS in mind. As per the creator's intention. To create a luxury sports timepiece based on steel was ground breaking at that time. So yes, only SS. Any thing else is a aberration.

Tried on the RG version recently on my trip to London. IF you are able to wear an all gold piece (some seem to not like the all gold look on their timepieces) then RG all the way. Great contrast with the blue dial !
