Rolex WG Color.....
I bought my first PM piece this week, got the WG Blue Sub! It is totally bad-ass and I love the WG color and feel! What a huge difference in weight and feel compared to my SS pieces. I actually bought it without ever seeing or handling it in person, a total blind purchase!
Sooooo, now I have a new love affair with PM, and my question is this.....is the WG color the same on all Rolex models like the DD and Daytona? I really want my next one to be the WG Daytona with Slate Dial but have never seen one in person, can someone describe if the difference between the SS Daytona and WG Daytona is as large as the SS Sub vs WG Sub? Thanks for your help and of course, pictures always appreciated! |

Same material same color. If its modern though. Older whitegold models are able to change color a little bit...

Congrats, as far as I know they use the same blend. (Admittadly I'm basing this off seeing them side by side and common business sense as it would cost rolex more money to do different blends)

Congrats, and the WG Daytona will feel like the WG Subc, just maybe 10 grams lighter or so, and both are about 50% heavier than their SS versions.

It sure is a Rolex you can buy sight unseen. It started my PM journey so be careful!

I looked at a handful of WG recently and it is easy to tell the difference. SS looks cold, WG looks warm.
However, the platinum Daytona really was something else! |

Platinum looks like SS to me. WG has a warmer look. I have owned all three.
