FS: Jakarta/Indonesia LNIB Zenith Pilot Doublematic Worldtimer Alarm Chronograph
Like new Zenith Doublematic still under factory warranty. There is not a scratch on the case or buckle. Complete with triple factory box (wooden watch box, outer black box with white sleeve and brown shipping box), Zenith factory book, watch manual and warranty card. It is registered for the extended third year warranty with Zenith expiring on January 16th 2016. Features: worldtimer, alarm, large date, chronograph, the famous El Primero in house movement 10 beats per second movement (36,000bph) which were the chronograph movement of choice for Rolex Daytona before the current in house movement. Although it is not an officially limited watch, the production volume of this piece was low and now hard to find in many countries including Indonesia.
This watch is filled with features. 1. World time features: very easy set up, just set your local time and place the city in the same time zone as your local time at 12 o’clock position using the crown at 10 o’clock which can go both directions. The rest will synchronize automatically. The hour disc has dual color, splits at around 5:30 AM and PM. 2. Alarm: Full features including accurate skeletonized alarm 4th hand with red painted tip, adjusts anti-clockwise by pulling and rotating the crown at 8 o’clock. The button at the center of the crown turns on and off the alarm while turning the 8 o’clock crown at 0 position winds the alarm power-reserve. A beautifully drawn alarm on/off indicator between 9 and 8 o’clock with two color giving easy to read indication; green background with white outline bell indicating on and red background with crossed outline bell indicating off. Very beautiful and complicated alarm power reserve indicator at 7 o’clock which transition the background color from red with outlined word “low” indicating low alarm power reserve to green background with outlined word “full” indicating full alarm power reserve and a mix of red and green indicating the level of alarm power reserve between low and full. When the alarm is activated, the whole power reserve indicator rotates with the alarm spring barrel while the indicator transition back towards low. Very beautiful execution and gives that visual effect when the alarm is running. The alarm is loud enough in quieter rooms especially when your hand is closer to mid body in the instance you are sitting down. It is loud enough to wake me up in the morning when it is on the side table. 3. Chronograph: Crisp and smooth Start/Stop button beautifully designed and finished at 2 o’clock and Reset button at 4 o’clock. Its chronograph features column wheel with horizontal clutch which can be view from the back of the watch. The chronograph mechanisms are finished differently in fine brushed finish with high-polish beveled edges. There are some blued screws to complete the chronograph mechanism which can be view from the back. 4. Dial: Features matt black to comply with the pilot theme with large white Arabic numerals entirely made of SuperLuminova! High contrast hands and large date complication at 2 o’clock making this a very easy to read watch. The hour, minute and second chronograph hand features SuperLuminova as well. 5. Case: Beautifully polished and brushed finishing combine with the curves of the case it hugs the wrist comfortably and without over-hanging lugs like other large size sport watch. This watch wears better on smaller wrist than AP ROO. I would like to describe it like a slim fit shirt where the design of the case just hugs the wrist and for me it wears as good as my 40mm GMT Master II which I first thought was the largest size that can fit my wrist. The case is completed with over size extra-clear sapphire front glass and rear glass for you to enjoy the beautifully finished El Primero movement. I bought this watch to add all that amazing features to my collection, but wore it only once and try it on and off a couple other times. I am trying to downsize my collection since many are not getting any wrist-time. Price: USD $10,500 local pick up Jakarta area (Indonesia) or best offer. Open to trade. |
