Icon19 Rolex Day Date 11309 white gold

So I got it!!

Original Box too

Has aftermarket diamond bezel...

Band nice..few brown spots ..probably needs a Rhodium replating???

So I love it...not as small on wrist as I thought.....

But I have a guy who wants to trade for a Panerai 270

I still can't make up my mind !!!!!

I know 2 totally different watches...

I guess knowing which will be worth more in 5 years may help ??

Pics to come

Heeeelp!!!!

I know bling is not for everyone but I like it :-)..... if I end up keeping this one and not getting the Panerai I'm thinking of purchasing an original dial off ebay just for the heck of it. I see that they are relatively inexpensive

Oh...the picture of the box is from the jewler...I DO NOT HAVE ALL THOSE WATCHES NEAR THE BOX!!!!! :)

I'm not sure of the year. Does the pictures below of the box help? It has a very little bit of brown on the bracelet and that's all. Should I have it rhodium-plated again? It probably has not been rhodium-plated since it was brand new. Also I still need help deciding whether to keep this or get the Panerai 270

Definitely different watches. Flare or subdued? I guess it depends on what you like more. Sure you may be able to more suitably wear the Panerai more often, but you may have remorse over your lost DD. I would personally choose the Panerai.
Best regards

I have an original diamond bezel and dial in case I ever want to swap it out. Why do you say the condition does not look good? This is my first Rolex? Looks good to me......

White Gold DD's are not rhodium plated, just needs a good cleaning and polishing. Congrats on the bling.

I don't like it at all but the important thing is that you are happy with it.

I see it !! TY

I have two questions. I still want someone to educate me about the value of this watch in 5 years versus that of the Panerai 270? Also if it is not rhodium plated then what do they use to make the white gold? I thought all white gold had a rhodium plating and that's how it was white?

U guys r great !!!

..and yes...I'm actually a Gastroenterologist with 5 kids that loves Bling!

Drives wife nuts !

Why the diamond not paved throughout the entire bracelet? Aftermarket? .. As far as I know, ANYTHING aftermarket fitted into a Rolex will hurt the resale value.

Anyway.. That's some serious bling.. Need a good wash n some refreshing (polish) will look even better! Congrats on your new addition.

I can't be the only one who took the wrong way.

I also don't know anything about day date end links, but are the backs supposed to be that thick and protruding like that? Looks strange.

I added the two extra diamond links since it was a size 7.5 and needed 8.5....

Rest of Bracelet should be OEM ??

I'd be more concerned with the way the day fits in the window than anything else.

The box above is exactly like the one I had with my 18038, circa 1981.. Is your model a single quickset? ( I doubt it is a double quick)..
