Any Fortis love?

I have a Fortis 630.10.11M, and I really like it: it's a great counterpart to my January, 1969 145.022-69 Speedy. It's a great size at 38mm, even on my 8 inch wrist. I wear it on a Rios 1931 calfskin strap, with a Fortis buckle, most of the time. Anybody else have a Fortis?

I've had several, but none at the moment.
I'm fond of the Marinemaster line in particular.

Your OC chrono is very nice

I'm not a fan. I have a friend who has experienced awful customer service and poor workmanship from Fortis having his watch serviced. The screw down crown was replaced with a non-screw down crown. The case and bracelet were not polished. The clasp kept on undoing and he asked that this be fixed, which it wasn't and the crystal had a scratch on it. This was serviced by Fortis UK. Except for their cheapo coloured watches I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole.

I like their older stuff, none of the resent models do anything for me.
The classic fligers are great value, I've had many.

That's one of the underestimated brands sadly, as a brand it should deserve more promotion. I am not into Bond trivia but in one of the Bond movies , the actor who featured the famous renowned man whose names begins with 00 wore this watch.
Wel,I might be wrong but they also made a watch for NASA missions as well. May be it was overshadowed by Omega Moonwatch
