New Sub doesn't come with a Divers Extension ?

Dumb question, since I rarely dive, but I noticed that the new SubC doesn't come with a Divers Extension like the DSSD and SDc do. Anyone know why that is ? Also, the clasp on the DSSD is fantastic ( the glidelock, adjusting the watch without taking it off the wrist ) I wonder why the new SDc didn't come with that same clasp ? Seems to me it's a no brainier that all three watches ( the SubC, SDc, and DSSD ) should come with that same glidelock clasp, AND the divers extension.

Probably cost cutting since you have that extra 20 mm using the glide clasp?

The glidelock on the new subc is the diver's extension..

That glidelock is amazing and makes for such a comfortable fit.

Not quite. The DSSD and SD4K both have a diver's extension link AND a Glidelock clasp, whereas the Sub has just the Glidelock

The Glidelock (provided you got your watch sized properly) can expand enough to fit over a 5mm wet suit. This covers most wet suit needs just fine. For a thicker suit or a dry suit, you need something more. The Sea-Dwellers are more professionally oriented, so they also have the extension. Ditto for the Tudor Pelagos.

That's the best answer
I was going to say because it's not safe to dive with submariner, that thing is too pretty..

I agree... I try not to get mine wet and leave water spots!

I prefer the glide-lock as opposed to the dive extension link on the both the SD4000 and Deep Sea (which I promptly removed for better comfort) - I do dive quite a bit but I don't put the watch over my suit, I just hike up my wetsuit a bit so it's normal over the wrist for me.. Never liked the way the dive extension felt on the bracelet.

Ditto for me when I jump in the pool after a few mojitos with my shirt on.

.

SubC bracelet (97200) also comes with a fliplock (the same as SDDS and SdC). The difference is that it's an option for it, you need to order it from your AD.

I removed the divers' extensions on both my Deepsea and SD4000 and replaced them with all the other normal links.

So my only unused "links'' are the divers' extensions.

As did I and much more comfortable. So unless one is a diver and using watch for that purpose the extension isn't needed anyway.

I did the same when I had a SD4K. More comfortable and it looks better on the 12 side of the bracelet. You see all links as opposed to a few links plus the dive extension when you're wearing it.

I said earlier that sub are too pretty to dive with, does the SD4k look less blingy compared to a sub? I haven't seen a SD in person to make a comparison.

Did the same on my DSSD and D-Blue - they wear perfect and the clasps are centered.

Did the same with my SD4000 though I did not need to put an extra link in in lieu of the dive extension. Seems like quite a few people removed theirs for a better fit.

Presumably anyone with an SubC could pick up a dive link and have it retrofitted? Would it fit straight on?

I guess I'm in the minority that actually kept the Divers Extension on my DSSD then lol I think it fits fantastic with the it still on, and two links removed.

I kept mine on as well and also removed two links. Fits just fine, personal preference I supposed.

I kept the extension on and all links on amy deep Sea and it fits perfectly. I actually did the same with my sub C. I put a deep-sea clasp on my Sub C with the extension and it fits perfectly just like my deep-sea.
