Christmas gift to my beautiful wife: Paris in March for two weeks!
So, for Christmas, I am giving my lovely wife Leah a plane ticket for two to Paris in March of 2016 and it seems that Turkish Airlines have the best prices bar none.
Has anyone flown with them before? SkyTrax rates them 6 out of 10 which is better than most of our USA airlines. Just wondering what your experiences have been.

I am not so concerned about airline safety standards. Fly with every airline which schedule suits me. After all the guys who know best are sitting in front and like to go home safe and sound as well.
Enjoy Paris, lovely city

I wouldn't hesitate to fly them although I have not done so. Their in-flight service is probably a step above most US airlines and flag carriers tend to be good. I'm sure others who have actually flown them will chime in.
Have a great trip, Richard! Paris in the spring is, well......Paris in the spring! |

I've flown Turkish airlines several times; a dozen or so flights to/from their neighbor, Republic of Georgia. They are a well run airline with a new fleet. I've never had a problem and TAV is a nice, modern airport. We would always try to spend a night or two in Istanbul on the way home. It's a great city with so much history. The colors of their seats are kinda ugly but no worse than KLM.
I had a friend though, flying from JFK-TAV, who's plane lost cabin pressure mid-flight. They dropped down to 10k ft and diverted to LHR for inspection/repair and then continued on. |

if you're flying turkish airlines to paris, i'm assuming you're flying out of the NYC area?
if so, consider also La Compagnie (click here). |
