First Real Rolex?
Bought a Rolex Sea-Dweller on eBay. Definite fake. Did a charge back and went for Rolex #2 from a jeweler I had bought items from before.
116613 looks real to me. Only thing that made me question it was a slight shhhh sound while I wind it (along with the normal clicking sound). My Folex made the same shhh sound with winding. I still have a few days on my demo period for a return, so I figured I ought to check on here to make sure I wasn't I would prefer not to be 10k deep into a fake. Did some research on the forum before I bought this and everything looked correct visually. Would definitely appreciate a second opinion->Will post pictures in a second http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Rolex-Su...vip=true&rt=nc |

Looks good to me. None of his negative feedback indicate selling anything fake, just items not as described (flaws, chips, scratches). He's been selling since 2001. The few pics of the front are not really that close. If you have the actual watch take some pics up close, but from my seat you are ok.

Pictures
I have pictures, but it says I am missing a security token. File extension is valid and within size limits. I generally read the forum, not post.

Movement
I can open up the back to post pictures of the movement, but since I would have to use the duct-tape ball trick I would prefer not to. FYI: I did pay to have this watch inspected by the watchmaker at my local Authorized Dealer and they said it was real. The shhh sound just seems abnormal from what I have read on the forums. The fact that my Folex makes the same sound when winding is discomforting.
Also thanks to TRF for all of the wisdom I have gained over the past year getting ready to take a second shot at a Rolex. |

You mean first shot at a Rolex.
A fake is not a Rolex. The TT SubDate looks good.

bump. Can I get some more people to authenticate this please?
Passed authentication at my AD. Card is dated October 2015 which makes me a bit suspicious, although it did have all the stickers on it still. Only thing concerning me so far is the shhh sound it makes while winding (along with normal clicking). Maybe this is typical. I usually just let my old Pam 162F run on the automatic winder before I sold it and I can't remember how it sounded when I wound it. Anyway if I got duped and this is a fake PLEASE tell me so I can get my money back while I still have a return period. I read the forum and remembered to use Paypal http://postimg.org/my.php?gallery=v2ifxpui http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Rolex-Su...vip=true&rt=nc |

If it goes Sssshhhhh & clicks when you wind it , you're doing it wrong.
If your AD has authenticated it, it's authentic. |

First Real Rolex?
Well if it was sold as a SeaDweller it is definitely a fake... A genuine fake maybe because the 116613 is a Submariner ! 😂😂😂

My Folex SeaDweller is a beautiful piece of Franken-watch art. Surprisingly the crystal was made of sapphire and pressure tested down to 4000 ft. Definitely stuff wrong though... like a 50 dollar Chinese movement inside Luckily Paypal+eBay+credit card made for an easy charge back.
The TT sub hopefully is authentic or I will be kicking myself for not spending the extra 3400 to buy new direct from my local AD. |

Can I get a few more people to weigh in? I don't want to get past the return period and find out is a fake. http://postimg.org/gallery/2f7t6gim2/e804a566/ |

Ok, something is starting to seem odd here.......
This site isn't going to provide you any further authentication than what you've already received from the AD. The photos appear to be a real, authentic, genuine Sub. Our disadvantage here is that we don't know if the watch in the photos is the same watch that you took to the AD. We are taking your word for it and if that's the same watch (serial numbers match and so forth) then its legit. You are fine if the AD gave you the thumbs up however if you keep asking then suspicions rise that something more sinister is at play here. Wear it in good health and stop fretting over it. |

Enjoy the watch and stop asking to see if it's authentic or not. If the AD said it's good....my guesses are that it's good ( unless it's a different watch like what hunterp27 said)...

Hey, new to the forum here. Couldn't help but notice that this guy is located in my town (Massapequa Park, NY). If it's who I think it is its right at the end of my block. From what I know he's legit and been in business for a long time. I could always take a stroll into his shop and see sat kind of operation he's running.
