New watch soon - narrowing down the options
I bought my GMT2c LN a year or so ago after spending way too many hours on this forum and deliberating between that and an 114060. I opted for the GMT for the GMT complication as I live in the uk but work for a US company so it is practical for me. However, the Sub itch has not been scratched! I also still love the DD2 so that is still on my mind.
I am now in a position to expand the collection and want to add my second Rolex. I have narrowed it down to the following: - 114060 no date sub - 116610 LV Hulk - 116300 DJ2 silver stick dial, smooth bezel - 116400 DJ2 blue stick dial, smooth bezel I am leaning strongest to the 114060 as, no matter what happens, this will always be on my wish list. I also want to play around with NATO straps and RubberB straps and this watch works with those. However, it is quite similar in looks to the GMT and no doubt I would get (unfair) criticism from the wife for buying a watch that "looks just the same" (she would be wrong). The hulk though, and that sunburst dial... I think perhaps we may see a DJ2 in 40mm soon, so that is why I am thinking of holding back there, but again I still have an un-scratched itch re the DJ2 and can't decide on the colour. All the same, a nice dilemma to have. I was wondering what the forum members would advise for the second watch, to compliment the GMT. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Do you need a dressier watch which is what I consider the DJ II. If not Hulk or 114060. I'd say Hulk but I love the look of my 114060. Very clean and I think it lends itself to strap changes.
Let us know what you decide and post pictures. |

The Hulk makes a great brother, just don't make it angry...
These are my only two and I like how they are both tool watches but different too. I think my next route will be the DJ2's..

Hulk for me too, esp as you have an LN, plus you put DD2 so maybe subliminally that is the more dressy watch you really want.

I have a dress watch already, but it's not as nice as a DJ (it's a Baume et Mercier, but I like it) and I think my requirements are more for a "weekend watch" which the subs would certainly fit the bill.
I did expect more 114060 responses so I'm pleasantly surprised at the encouragement to go down the hulk path! I think that it is definitely going to be a sub so now I am down to 2. I plan to pick this up at Heathrow duty free (seems to be the best value option for a UK guy as the TRF trusted sellers are all in the US) and so maybe it will boil down to availability on the day. New watch soon - narrowing down the options
Since you already have a black dialed watch I would get the Hulk, but 114060 gives a cleaner and more symmetrical look!
I reckon you will have difficulty finding the Hulk at Heathrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Tricky proposition, flat out i would recommend the DJ blue over the SUB as it's a dressier watch. But then there's the itch of DD looming large (I like either in 36mm btw). I predict you're not getting away with just 2 and the Sub needs to be added at some point, maybe not soon, maybe a true vintage (2 liner?) which wears gorgeously on a NATO. And as a nice left field option, i would like to propose the Explorer (36 or 39mm), works great on NATO, simple, black, easy legible, but more dressy and wears smaller than a SUB. Have fun, don't pull too much hair...

As above, I was gonna suggest an Explorer 36mm or 39mm.

Explorer 39mm is on my longer-term list! This year I think it's a sub. Either hulk or no date.

I would def go with a DJII because you already have a sub style watch. I would also wait till after Basel as you never know if a DJ40 will come out. If it does I may be forced to flip my DJII for one.

I would go for the LVc now and shoot for the blue stick DJ2 in a year or so. Two of the nicest sunburst dials and one of the best sports watches on the planet...you will be set.
There are so many great options, there's no need to get them all at once...take your time and enjoy the process. |

Hulk for me as well! One black for under the radar and one green for a splash of color. Can't get enough of the Hulk.
