it says:

"The accident happened late Thursday, when two large canoes decided to run over a dam under construction near Sevnica, a town 56 miles (90 kilometers) southeast of the capital of Ljubljana. "

Isn't it terrible that canoes are allowed to make such decisions? Is this the same way that guns are supposed to kill people? Heaven forbid if we ever put a gun into a canoe, imagine what they'd do teamed up!

*frog is talked into taking scorpion across river by scorpion, as scorpion points out that if scorpion stings frog while they're crossing the river, they'll both drown and die. scorpion gets on frog's back but stings frog in the middle of the river, just as the frog feared. frog asks scorpion, 'why'? scorpion says, 'can't help it, i'm a scorpion and that's what i do.'**
