Midleton Irish Whiskey and a watch box to make

I don't drink, never have had the first sip, but my wife likes a good Irish Whiskey or bourbon to sip on 1 or 2 nights a week. I like boxes (and ice cream, I LOVE ice cream.) So it works out that I buy here a nice spirit and I get to enjoy the box.
I decided this round that a Midleton box would make a great watch box (only issue is I have 6 watches and it only fits 5, so I guess I will have to turn a Booker box into another and buy 4 more watches.)

And the finished product. Tell me what you think. I now it's not perfect or anything super nice but it was a fun project.

Looks like a fun little project. I may give that a try with my Midleton box once I finish the bottle.

That's the pvc pipe and insulation and then wrapped in the same material as I lined the box.

Thanks guys but it really wasn't that hard to do. It was funny at the fabric store though when I asked what they had in the way of good scissors(my wife likes to find any scissors she can to cut paper, including my kitchen shears and good sewing scissors.) The lady looks at me like she's sizing me up and reaches behind the counter and hands me a cheap pair of plastic handled scissors. She states that these should be good enough to do anything I might ever attempt to do. I politely handed them back and asked for good pair pair of all metal decent scissors. She then warns me that they are not cheap and most people new to sewing aren't in need of such a pair. Now at this point I would normally pay for what I had and leave but this is the only game in town. So I stated that I owned a pfaff and a singer and used to deal with programmable juki s all day, that I wanted something I could cut leather and various other materials with, something at least 8 inches long and tempered not hard and brittle. The owner then came over and said hi and offered the scissors seen in the 5th photo. They were only $45, they way the other lady was talking I was expecting $200. Then the owner, a very nice lady, asked what I was making. When I told her it was a watch box she looked down and saw my Navitimer and said that here husband wore one like it his entire career as a pilot. It sparked a touch of small talk and made a nice ending to the previous issues.

Good going John! Your wife has good taste, Midleton is one of the best! And so are your crafting skills!
