My 1st vintage ... a 1680

Hi there,

I've just acquired this little grand'ma. Serial 5.1 million. I guess it is a MK2 dial. The "top hat" is original, hands are tritium but probably replaced together with the insert (well I suppose ... opinions welcome!)

Congrats
Tiffany & Co dials come at a premium to collectors.
The 1680 is a great watch, and will keep on ticking for decades

do you have the T&C paperwork ?
shame that the hands have been replaced but rather easy to match them to the dial ...

It's been serviced by Rolex recently. But no original papers. I'll ask Rolex Geneva a search to confirm that serial corresponds to a watch sold by Tiffany & Co. As per the hands, yes, but they are tritium at least.

Yep I am considering the option of swaping hands. Currently looking for some NOS / late 70's
But I'm still unsure on where to find them

You can also search on the VRF forum or post a WTB ad there. Congrats on the nice 1680!

Wow that's not just any 1680! Definitely look into matching up the hands. Those Tiffany examples are highly sought after.

Congrats and enjoy in good health
