Death Valley Hit 124F. Today..

I really don't have a follow-up to this..

I just thought it amazing that it could be so hot just a couple of hours away from where I live..

Thank goodness our desert Monsoon Season has just hit (or is on it's way) and maybe some rain this weekend will cool things down some......

I spent 3 years at Ft. Irwin,California and hated every second of every hour,I called it Ft. Missery,no air conditioning only swamp coolers that made the inside temperature 10 degrees cooler than the outside temp,horrible!

I used to be stationed around that area during the 911 tragedy and yes, it gets up to that level! Imagine yourself standing outside guarding the gate for 12 hrs in full combat uniform with heavy loads of weapons and ammos!
