Then and Now.....Start to Finish (pic heavy)

Scrolling thru my photobucket and Winter Storm outside so I have some time this AM. Thought I would post my watch journey to date. This was inspired by Gus (Subtona). I remember him with a similar post a few months back.

My first "nice" watch the Tag 2000 Professional

Then upgraded to Omega Speedy Professional

Added the Oris Diver BC3

Sold Omega Speedy for my first Rolex:

Sprinkled in a little Panerai and IWC for a short time:

Tried a couple of American brands too....Red Sea and Lum-Tec ( no LT pics)

SOld the Explorer II and purchased the 16610 Sub

Then my love for Tudor started:

Then back to Rolex...............the final frontier:

Thanks for viewing my crazy journey.

Very nice journey, had a few of those brands myself, the IWC Spitfire was a particular fave.

Nice collection Steve. I also started off with a few Tags. It's like a gateway drug for watches.

Nice photo-documentation of an often nutty journey. If you'd only come back to the Speedmaster 12 times, it would look a lot like my own.

Which one is the favorite?

Cheers,

Ben

I only regret selling one of those watches....the Omega Speedy Pro. I wore that watch as my daily for almost 12 years. As for what is my favorite I would say I am a GMT guy. I currently own BLNR, 16710 with all 3 inserts, Zenith Daytona & Tudor Blue Snowflake Sub. I am quite content for now.

Thanks for all the kind comments All. Was nice to revisit all those watches I once owned and where my taste and likes are currently.

Bad@$$ journey OP. I've always been a big Omega fan and still am, so I'd get that Speedy back in your collection despite the Daytona if you can...it's just a timeless classic. After my 1st self bought Rolex.....I am starting to appreciate the brand more and am looking forward to picking up a couple more down the road. Thanks for sharing.
