Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date v Omega a Speedmaster

I've been looking to trade my 2009 " Rolex " Oyster Perpetual Date which is in really nice condition for an Omega Speedmaster for a while. I called in at one pre owned watch store in Manchester , England today. The owner offered me £2,400 for my watch against a pre owned Omega Speedmaster special edition he had on for £3,200. I didn't want all the other stuff that came with the Speedy ( medallion, loupe, screwdrivers etc ) so I passed on that.

Next stop " Watches of Switzerland " around the corner. They had a really nice pre owned 2010 Speedy on offer at £2,600 so I asked for a valuation on my " Rolex ". The guy comes back with an offer of £1,500 for my watch against the Speedy !

Needless to say I won't be taking them up on their kind offer.
