Hands-on Review Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph Limited Edition>>>>>

Here's a hands-on review on the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph ref. 26387IO.OO.D010CA.01 Limited Edition in titanium and white ceramic. Watch is pure perfection in person.

Awesome watch, they had it and the TI model in the AP showroom when I got mine, beautiful in PT, don't like the TI, but they told me that due to the big weight they sell very badly, some even returning them after a few days not being able to handle the weight, wanted a PT one at some point, not this one, a more reasonably priced like a datograph, but I understood I would be in the returning category

My issue with the watch is why did AP hide that beautiful tourbillon with those bold black bars?

Those bars are a bridge made of anodized aluminum and the one used to hold the tourbillon cage in its place. Otherwise, they would've had to go with a 'flying tourbillon'. Research and development for a flying tourbillon on this watch would've brought the cost up the roof and would've had a direct impact on the pricing of the watch.

Keep in mind that the Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chrono is already priced quite high at $299,300 USD for 18K rose gold, $288,000 USD for titanium and $313,900 USD for platinum.

One small detail I think they should have paid attention to is that the font used on the logos visible on and through the dial is different (I think older vs. newer style logo font). Obviously this is like saying you don't like the tire valve stem caps on a Ferrari Enzo ... but I am weird like that.

Was offered the Pt one BNIB at 230k. I suspect it will be a resale disaster when I get bored.

Definitely hard to sell afterwards. Not many people around ready to pony up that amount of money for pre-owned.
