This or That: DD40 vs. Lange 1815 special edition
Your thoughts please?
My current collection: SD4k GMT2C Explorer I 36mm Explorer II 42mm polar DJ TT 36mm PP Golden Ellipse RG VC Patrimony Traditionelle platinum/grey Lange Saxonia Annual RG So, I've saved up my nickles and dimes toward a 228235 DD40 (RG & Sundust dial), and of all moments in time, I happen to trip over a Walter Lange 1815 Up/Down ALS LE. I'm leaning toward the ALS given is uniqueness, rarity, and relative future ease of getting into the 228235... ...but your thoughts? Rich |

You are already Rolex heavy...I'd skip the DD40.
Now as to ALS, maybe Dato Up/Down instead? |

I love the DD 40, however the ALS would be a better fit for your collection. Good luck!

The sundust dial is really nice and unique so I would get that. If you really like the Lange, I'd sell 2/3 other pieces and get both.

Sounds like you'll regret not getting the ALS. Go for it.

Your collection is already wonderful so either would be sorta close to other pieces - no other manufacturers speak to you?

I'd get a date but between these the Lange, buy it right though as they take a beating on resale, Special Edition or not...
