Blnr for 233 ?
Hi everyone,
The more I see the 233, the more I want to own in. Just wondering what are everyone's thoughts on a possible trade. I'd rather not have the additional expense of adding another piece, so I have been considering trading my BLNR towards/for a 233. So I figure I'd post and get suggestions from fellow members. Thanks,

It all depends on what you're after; if it's investment, then I'd keep the BLNR. If it's for enjoyment and you have a way to do a straight trade (or to your advantage), then I would definitely go for the 233.
The PAM 233 is one of my favorite watches and it keeps growing on me the longer I own it. Personally, I would get rid of the 111 and add a little money to get a 233. |

The 233 dot ran from series I through K (I 1,500 units, J 1,000 units, K 2,000 units). The AM/PM started with the L series (1,000 units) in 2010.

I think the 233 is a great watch but I much prefer the BLNR so that's what I have. However, it sounds like you're preferring the 233 so go for it. If you prefer the 233 over the BLNR but you keep the BLNR then I think the only reason you would do that is for the financial side of things, value retention of the BLNR and that's the wrong way to look at it if you ask me.

I was in your position about a year ago. I owned an 114060 and a BLNR at the time and even though I could justify owning both in the same collection, I found the wearing experience to be similar.
I ended up trading my BLNR for a 233 and even though I miss the BLNR I don't regret the decision. I'd rather have one Rolex sports model and one Panerai instead of two Rolex sport models. I'll add the BLNR again down the road. I mean look how pretty she is |

Trade away. BLNR is nice, but 233 > BLNR.
Edit: I just saw you'd consider trading the 111 instead of the BLNR.... I think I'd do that, instead, if I had the cash to make up the difference. I wouldn't "need" the 111 with the 233 in the stable. |

Well, neither watch is rare and both can be added when you want/can. I got rid of my hulk (that I had owned and enjoyed for 4 years) to fund the 233. I can't be more satisfied with the 233 and I'm sure a Rolex will find its way back to me in the future!
Go with what makes you smile. |

Imho the 233 is the more interesting watch. In a straight choice, I would pick the 233 over the BLNR.

Unfortunately the Panerai bug is real. Once you set your eyes on a model, it's hard to let go. After I got my first Panerai, I found that I started to wear my Rolex models less and less. So I say trade the BLNR for the 233.
I would sell my LVc to free up some funds after purchasing two Panerais in the past month but unfortunately the LVc has some sentimental value to me. |

Given the rest of your collection I would not hesitate to swap them. I love my 233 and would recommend it to anyone. Best of luck to you!

I have the GMTIIc LN and the 233 dot.
The GMTIIC may get more wrist time, due to size and flexibility, but the 233 is easily the favourite. Just pick it up out of the safe at the weekend and it's still ticking from the last one. |

Go for it, no regret for me even though the way i acquired my 233 was quite rediculers. I had listed my Rolex 16570 for sale and this gentleman asked whether would i accept trade with his 233, i thought whats 233 as i havent owned any pam at that time yet, but the moment i saw and put on my wrist, i knew i wont remove it. Its still one of my favorite watches to wear daily.

I have had both, still have the BLNR. I'd say trade the 111.

233 all day... its just perfection. Nothing else to be said. After wearing my 233, 40mm rolex's just seem insignificant. Especially on the wrist
