I'm really quite jealous. I just had my son's Ritz cracker with Nutella and it's probably not as good as your meal.

honest question, is there good sushi in dallas? nobu is good, but not typically considered a traditional japanese sushi bar experience. i ate at some top rated place in fort worth and was frankly underwhelmed. i hit the area only a couple times a year, but i'd like to know for reference.

I love sushi, just can't find any good sushi restaurants in Tampa.
Looks great!

I wasn't trying to answer your question, I was addressing your statement but agreeing with you. Aside from the original Nobu, I think it the rest of the chain isn't all that great.

I recently ate a place in Houston that was supposed to be the best in the city and I was disappointed. I really just want to go to Tokyo for a week and go on a sushi binge.

Closest thing to masa in LA is urasawa, however it has some kaiseki elements to it. There's a place in the bay area that is highly recommended, but the name escapes me now. Also, my buddy told me that saison opened a make shift sushi counter in their place. Don't know if it is permanent or not. Lastly, I'm in Houston 4 times a year or so. Been to Uchi in Houston and Austin and was not impressed. My friend in Houston told me to try MF sushi in the museum district. It is owned by Chris Kinjo, who disappeared for awhile, but is respected in the industry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
