Longitude

If you've never read Longitude by Dava Sobel you absolutely need to. It's the true story of how John Harrison solved the age old problem of how to navigate the seas by being able to identify longitude with a reliable and accurate chronometer.
I read it twice a year and never get tired of this fascinating history lesson.

What a great pic there! I'm in the middle of Moby Dick, maybe I'll pick up that one after I'm finished.

I can only read hardcovers. I'm a techy in every other aspect but old school in reading.

Me too. I love having books in my house, though I lost so many over the years.

Paperbacks, read all 7 volumes of Game of Thrones last year, arms would have fallen off otherwise.
