Incoming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is an incoming that trumps all incoming. Meet my new granddaughter and that is her birth year 114060 on my wrist. I intend to pass that watch on to her with that very picture. I was also wearing the same leather jacket that I wore 27 years ago when my son was born. I never understood the grandparents thing that they have to show everybody their grand children's picture and now I do. I just have to share. When I had that little girl in my arms for the first time it was game over

The significance of the jacket..amazing.
I still have my grandfather's jacket he wore before he passed away. Forget the Rolex....these ARE the Heirlooms. Your jacket will mean SO much more than your watch when you pass them down... congrats!!

Thank you all for all the well wishes, this reminds me how truly great this community of like minded crazies is!
We go along and live our lives day to day with what occupies us without too much of a thought. It is events like this that help us to re-focus what life is truly about. Rolex ads says there is a crown for every achievement and I suppose it largely links to mean financial achievements since being able to afford a Rolex is not an insignificant outlay of cash for most people. But I think true achievements are things like raising your children and passing on values that make them responsible and productive members of society and they in turn pass that on to their next generation, regardless of what they can achieve financially. I am proud of the man my son has grown up to and the beautiful wife he chose. Boy, I guess having grand children makes you wax philosophical.
