Has Tudor lost the plot?

Since the Basel announcement of new releases, I've been left confused by their new lineup. So we've got new models ie. BB Bronze and PVD and upgrades to regular BBs.

Now what is confusing to me is this - the consistency of design and design codes.

Bronze - Tudor shield on dial, rose logo on crown (why is it different?). In-house movement.
New BBs - Tudor shield on dial, rose logo on crown. In-house movement. Bracelet with rivets (Personally I don't find the rivets a big deal)
BB PVD - Tudor shield on dial, rose logo on crown. In-house movement. Bracelet does not have rivets (shouldn't it have rivets?). No end links (why not?)
BB 36mm - Tudor shield on dial, rose logo on crown. No rotating bezel (then it shouldn't be a BB, it's a diving watch range), ETA movement (if the logos are a way of differentiating ETA and in-house models, then why this different?)

And I'm not a believer that the rose logo on crown is only on BB range, as I'm quite sure it's on the Ranger now, but no updates on this was announced. Will it continue to have rose logo on dial of the Ranger? And if the rose logo on crown is meant for Heritage models, then why does the Tudor Chrono have the shield logo?

I really think they've lost a bit of the plot with so many design inconsistencies. Perhaps David Cerrato, the head designer left Tudor not too long ago and they probably got someone from Panerai to churn out models just to milk it as much. Bronze, PVD etc. is deja vu to me.

Anyone else feels the same? Or can someone help me understand? Adam, where are you?

I'm not in love with any of their releases but that's okay and I adore my Pelagos. The whole rose on the crown wouldn't bother me in the slightest. Improved dials and movements is a big plus.

I agree the Black Bay 36mm is confusing, it even comes with the Ranger-style camo strap included. Should have another name, I agree.

As for the THC having the shield on the crown, well the original Monte Carlo chronos came out after the shield replaced the rose, so that's all good.

The shield/rose combo one the new Black Bays is a bit odd, but maybe they're just covering both the logo bases in a nod to the overall heritage aspect.

At least they revamped their website. A vast improvement.

And I definitely won't be trading in my BB Red for one of these.

there's an argument there, but tudor is really coming out of its shell now... great choice and really no reason for anyone to not buy one over any of the LVMH or Swatch Group offerings... can't wait to see their in-house chronos.

maybe also time for a Tudor only sub-forum?

They replaced the rose with the shield because they want to rise and rise again until lambs become lions. The Tudors want to show their iron side. LOL

Can anyone confirm if there is a bubble case-back on the revised BB's to account for the extra in-house movement thickness?

Thanks for your thoughts Adam! I thought I was the only one who finds their new offerings a bit odd.

And I'll stick to my current BBs as well. Looking at that photo of the new BB bracelet I think that the gaps are hideous as compared to the current bracelet. Perhaps once worn it won't look so bad but I'm sure dirt and grime will be visible so new owners will have a good time cleaning it.

Apologies, these are just purely my opinions and certainly not ranting.
