Should I upgrade my 16710 Pepsi to a 116710BLNR
Have a very nice 16710 F series unpolished box & papers. Should I trade up and add some cash for a BLNR? Or would I kick myself once I trade because I would be hard pressed to find another 16710 in the condition that mine is in? And the BLNR is currently in production. All input would be greatly appreciated.

I would not do that and I own BLNR. Just keep the Pepsi and save up for a BLNR.

If the red and blue don't sing to you anymore and you want the ceramic blue and black.. Sure. If you have any doubts, I'd definitely keep the 16710, harder and harder to come by these days in the right condition.

What're you seeking? Ceramic? Modern bracelet?

I have a 16170 coke w/3186 late M625***serial.
You couldn't pay me enough (well....maybe) to trade or sell. Keep what you have.

My first instinct is to say no, but as Sensui said, if the 16710 isn't doing it for you anymore then send it to a new home where it will be loved and get yourself that BLNR.

Try swapping to a different bezel before selling, imho. I found I tired of the Pepsi and like the watch better now with black. Also have Coke in the wings. The five digit watches have great versatility.

It's going my to be a lot harder to find a minty/unpolished 16710 in the years to come.

I would say take your time and don't rush into anything,I've just done something similar with a Coke GMT for a 116610LV. I also have a 114060 and BLNR which more or less made my Coke redundant because I prefer the modern style bezel, bracelet etc....in the end I decided there is no point in having a watch if I'm not wearing it. It's only been a week but there's no sign of regret at the moment and I'm more than happy with my LV.
In the end only you can make the decision so unless your 100% wait a while and see how you feel in a few months. Good luck |

Short answer is no. Long answer-hell no. I sold my Pepsi but not for a BLNR.

Don't do it cuz of the newness factor. Do it because you do not click with the Pepsi anymore. Have you tried on the BLNR? If you haven't, you should before you flip. The BLNR is quite heavy compared to the Pepsi.

Try to save for the BLNR if you can.
Just the perspective of another BLNR owner here... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Unless you don't like the 16710 anymore, try to save for and add the BLNR.
Only in case you decide to add, may I suggest you gave the LN a consideration? And add some inserts / straps for the 16710 down the road |

like others said, would be a shame to sell an unpolished 16710.
try saving for the BLNR and if anything the more you wait the more options you will find on the used market. |

I wouldn't do it because I prefer the 16710, but on the other hand the market for pre-ceramic GMTs is strong right now
