AP lume....

So, I've had my 15400 for about 5 days now and my only complaint is the lume....anyone else under-whelmed....this is compared to my Rolexes and PP 5711....had a PP 5167 and the lume on it was also pretty amazing.

I welcome your thoughts and experiences!

Is it weaker than a lot of other brands... Yes. But my 15400 is good enough for me. Never been a concern.

It not great, but that’s purely a function of the amount of luminous material able to be deposited on the hands and indices.

LOL. I didn't even think the 15400 had lume. I can't see it on mine.

It's certainly not great. Not like Rolex or Pam.
The Rubberclad model AP's aren't bad though! ;)

Lume is weak on AP in general, but willing to overlook it.

It's true, but I find it that it's only when it's pitch black, sometimes I can see the indices but not the hands. However, if there is any light, the indices and hands reflect light so well it's not that bad.

AP's lume sucks.

The brightness is only half of Panerais and BP 50 Fathoms have. Not to mention the uneven lume on each marker.

Yes a bit of an oversight but I must say I like how the lume looks on them for the 5 minutes it lasts lol.

Yeah, I was somewhat underwhelmed by the weak lume (can see something, but can't make out the time) on my 15400.

And this was after leaving it for 10 min under direct light? How long did it last 2 min? I have a diver and it is very quick to go away

My Diver and rubberclad had great lume, but the 15400/15300 just suffers from the design and lack of much area for luminous material. Not the reason you are or aren't going to buy a RO though...

The lime is a very small part of a watch, not a deal breaker for most people

Is it just me or is your bezel at a 90 degree offset installed? Looks as your lines on your bezel are horizontal instead of vertical,,,?
