Got the wife's new datejust

The watch arrived today via FedEx. A little scary waiting for the watch to arrive since I am not sure if it was properly insured, but it arrived shortly before one o'clock today. The wife took it to the jeweler and had to have two links removed. These are not the greatest pics in the world, but here you go.

First, congratulations on a beautiful timepiece! (I have the same watch but with a jubilee band). Question: Was this a surprise or did your wife expect it? Wear it in good health.
