Help me verify my AP RC!

Hello Guys!

Dream cam true yesterday and my first AP ROO RC landed.
Its a H-series, comes with box and certificate.
I had the deal done at my local watchmaker (omega and breitling AD).

I paid around 70 USD to have it verified at the store but since they are not AP related and this is my first AP id love to have some feedback from you guys...
With all AAA fakes and me being VERY suspicious about everything (paranoid) id just want some pro to confirm all looks OK.

All numbers are matching the certificate and case.

Its in great shape despite the dent on the rubber bezel, this was reflected in the price :)

Umm. You bezel looks beyond strange. Looks like someone glued rubber on it themselves.

What on earth has happened to this watch?

Have you googled 25940SK, to see what the with should look like?

I'd have to agree. The watch looks conspicuous. A lot of character missing from the pictures you posted.

I'd tread carefully. Maybe call AP and have them verify the serial number?

Good luck.

Datewheel position & dial are 100% Gen!
What did the movement look like?? Thats the ultimate test! Have a photo of it?
H serial is correct for new style (called 2012+) Black RC dial.
With the papers and matching serials, I'd suspect it all to be gen. I'd almost be willing to bet on that!

That said, the bezel does look quite strange to say the least! It looks almost "rounded", lol, in the photos?! At the very least the bezel is quite used/worn and I'd replace it.

Watch looks real but as said the bezel looks like it was ripped off and then put back over the screws. Hope you got a really great price.

Back screws look a bit mangled as well. Hope you got a good price... Might be a hefty bill to service/repair.

Fake or not you really shouldn't buy a watch with this horrible bezel. Sorry to say that but clearly you didn't do your homework. I haven't seen a AP's bezel looks like yours in the picture, even a heavily beat up one.

Thanks for your input guys... Well next step is to visit AP-AD to get it verified Again.....
Maybe I jumped into this boat to quick without a second thought.
Before I bought it i checked how much a new bezel would cost and we came up with a price that was including this cost.

I also got a receipt from Copenhagen AP-AD "Klarlund" where the watch been for a new strap etc.
Also on this reciept there are matching numbers with the case. I mean, all these papers and even my own Omega/Breitling AD said it was OK. i went on with the deal.
I hope it wont be a terrible misstake but I do agree that the bezel looks weiiiiird!

I took of the backcase but then there where the anit-magnetic case with the smallest screws i ever seen, so i didnt make it the all way into the heart...

I have sent the pictures to another watchmaker that also think its GEN but I will have it checked with AP-dealer for sure. Everything else feels and looks great just that damn rubber-bezel.. I hope its just really worn out and needs a change.

No but i can recall some details.
There was obvisouly the rubber between the backcase and the watchcase. Also "audemars piguet" was carved? (Right word?) on the inside of the backcase.
Small text on the bottom, dont really remember what it said..

The movement is what's important - not engravings on inside of caseback!
Take antimagnetic cover off and post a photo. Not a big deal - three screws I think.

Read the sticky about pre owned AP. I would not tinker any further with this. Send it to AP for a proper overhaul and be ready for the bill (assuming all checks out).

LOL it looks like someone polished that bezel :)

Get ready for a 2-3k bill to put it right. You said it was reflected on the price though...

I calculated on 1.5-2k for the bezel and included the cost in the price i paid.
Maybe its not enough, we will see...

Well I'm sorry to say you managed to damage the screws, but hey it's your watch so...

Anyone with the exact same reference that can do me a favour?
How much does it weigh with the bracelet?

I would NOT rely on weight at all!
Also, Rubberclads look stupid on bracelet!!
That said, I assume you are referring to "bracelet" simply meaning the European term for ANY type of generic watch band/strap, correct?

Watch itself looks legit...why someone tinkered with the bezel screws and the bezel, no one knows. Then again, you were also talking apart the watch on your own, so someone previously must have been doing the same for some reason (maybe to try a bezel swap or something). I personally would not have bought it like this, but if it was a steel, say, <$8K, then sure, maybe I'd get it checked out, fixed, and call it a day.
