Japan: Food and Watches

I'm in Japan currently and spotted several Daytonas about the place. Bought some headphones yesterday and the guy next to me was wearing an Aquanaut!

Anyway, here's a couple of surreptitiously taken pics and some food pics to make you jealous - I'll update when I see more

I'm there in two weeks. Great shots... I'd say wear in good health but that's always out the window in Japan. Good looking teishoku and ramen. That mentai don looks great also... Can't wait.

It's tonkatsu - soooo good!

I also saw someone wearing these shoes and I really don't think I've ever seen anything worse...

Vibram Five Fingers, by the looks of things. I have a pair which I use in the gym on leg days and on back days when I deadlift. Far more stable than using normal gym shoes. I find I can drop my thighs past parallel to the floor when barbell squatting and my deadlift has gone up 20kg.

In the meantime, I can't wait to see Gerardo's 'retaliation' to those food pics

Enjoy!

Japan is an amazing country, so rich in tradition and history. The contrast between some of the big cities is remarkable. Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto are all amazing places but all so very different.
