Buying non rolex, is this silly

Hi guys,

I am after buying a JLC master control ultra thin moon. I don't currently own a dress watch you see and the rolex dress watches just don't appeal to me. Only thing is I'm worried about the massive depreciation that will inevitably occur.

Is buying non rolex a silly thing to do if the depreciation matters to me? Would I be better buying something like a DJII?

Take the massive depreciation out of your concern by buying preowned from a trusted seller. Not silly to buy a non Rolex watch if you like it. I think silly to buy new though. Good Luck.

It's not any sillier than paying thousands of dollars for something that tells you what time it is.

Not silly at all. I own several non Rolex models but I didn't buy them with resale in mind...bought them because I like them and plan on keeping them.

Bottom line: if you found something you like....buy it!

Exactly trouble today Rolex watches are seen by many as just $$$$$£££££.
