Another black bay decision
Looking to add a black bay to my collection. I have a sub 14060M so Im pretty sure I don't want a black bay black version. Trying to decide between either a black bronze or the black bay red dial. I can get the red dial in either the in house movement or ETA and the bronze of course only with the in house movement. The obvious answer is to get both, a bronze and red, but for now it's only one.

I like having the sub and the BBN. They serve different roles for me, and I like the differences in the respective dials, the hand shapes, case sizes/thickness, etc. Between the BBR and the bronze, I'd go with the red, simply because the bronze would be a bit too large for my tastes. Plus, I haven't seen it in the metal yet, and I don't know whether I'd like the bronze case or not. The BBR is a solid choice, however. |

The Bronze is gorgeous. It sort of reminds me of a tropical BB Red.

I just noticed the bronze has through lug holes...how did I miss this. I love me some drilled lug holes.

Significantly different watches, I think.
Be sure you try them on before taking a decision. The BB wears relatively big for a 41mm watch, the in-house will likely be a tad thicker, and the Bronze is bigger altogether at 43mm. Also keep in mind that a bronze watch is not for everyone. Of these three I choose the classic ETA Burgundy BB, which incidentally is the one I own. |

the original - red rose BB.
if you want a bronze watch, i'd look at the new oris before the BB. |
