Newbie Question - "Creaking" Bracelet
Hi everyone,
I bought my 116234 DJ 4 days ago and the oyster bracelet is now starting to "squeak" / "creak" at the links when moved a certain way off of the wrist. Is this part of normal break-in or do I need to take it back to the AD to be addressed? Thanks in advance! |

No worries. It's a sign of being brand spanking new and will fade away soon enough. Enjoy it and wear in good health.
Now, how about posting some pics! |

Well that's great....just great buddy. Every time someone such as yourself brings up this topic it's like the magic password that brings the evil genie out of the bottle! And the end results are always me being forced to satisfy my deep disgusting desires to hear the squeaky bracelet of a new watch!

I think I lost mine after 3-4 weeks with the blnr, with everyday wear.

Drove me nuts. I use bike chain lubricant - works a treat, with no evidence once wiped off with tissue.

Another easy and clean way to remove the squeak is to use a toothbrush and liquid dish soap to clean the bracelet. It immediately eliminated the squeak on my DSSD.
Enjoy your new watch and wear it in good health. |

Try washing with soap and water. No more creaking.

OP - nice watch man! The Oyster and the fluted bezel goes together rather well, especially with that dial, despite my preconceived notions. |
