Congratulations Michael Phelps!! New World Record!

"Phelps won the 400-meter individual medley at the National Aquatics Center in a world record time of 4 minutes 3.84 seconds -- crushing his old world mark, winning an Olympic gold medal and likely sending chills through the rest of the competitors on hand, many of whom could succumb to Phelps in similar fashion later in the meet."

Now maybe he will switch his preferences to Rolex!!

Phelps is actually an ambassador for Omega, with a specific line for the Seamaster Planet Ocean. He doesn't wear a watch during competition.

YESSSSSSSSS!!! I watched that live yesterday and it was a real thriller. The guy was way below the previous world mark and his amazing skills at the freestyle over the last 200 m clinched the deal!!

What a guy!!

Phelps is indeed doing some insane times - he's all alone out there!

What is it, 6 golds with 6 world records so far?

Great Olympics overall - I too am glued to the telly.
