Just picked up this 1971 1675 Pepsi GMT

Saw it, fell in love, waited, seller took it off the market, serious remorse over the loss, tried to fill the void with a Tudor Tiger chronograph, got a surprise call, watch is available again, instant regret for buying the Tudor, 1/2 day figuring out how to come up with the $, able to "procure" the cash, PICKED HER UP!!!

The watch is supposedly all original. But the bezel insert looks too good to be true.

Opinions?

Springer should be able to tell you. Have you checked the color on the back of the insert?

I would venture to say that it appears to be a blue back, but it is later than an early 1970s insert which is what your watch appears to be.

Is there a way of telling the color of the back of the insert without having to remove it. If not, how do you remove the insert...is it difficult to take off and put back on.

Watch update ... After 60 hours the watch is -3 seconds. I learned it as just fully serviced this year.

I prefer the oyster bracelet for looks but for comfortability the jubilee wins.

Lovely piece. Personally I'd always go for a Jubilee on a 1675.

I really like the Jubilee bracelet the best.
That is a great looking watch that is a workhorse for decades into the future.
Well done!!
