Self Watch Spinner/ Winders
is it important to have? what other key purpose beside not to have to update the time when you dont wear the watch for a day or two?

We just got one for my girlfriend's Omega De Ville.
My girlfriend doesn't put her watch on every day, sometimes it sits 2-3 days without use and it was a pain for her to wind the watch every time. She would sometimes just slack off and not wind it, or wind it and not change the date to the correct date. So taking into consideration the magnetic theories about watch winders we still decided it was time to get a watch winder. We got a higher-end winder from the "Wolf" brand on eBay and it's been keeping time (and date) ever since. To me it feels like a right purchase.

I feel better having one. I don't wear mine for 3-4 days at a time (switch to other watches). Supposedly...winding them manually, frequently, causes wear on the watch. So if you frequently let them wind down and have to re-wind them, it could stress the movement.
