Blueberry insert

Just looking in the for sale section at GMTs . I see several 1675s with serial #s in the 5,000,000 range asking $7500 / $8500 but then what seems to be the same 1675s but with blueberry bezel inserts asking over$25,000
.can this be right that a bezel can command such value or is there something obvious I am missing .
Thanks Dave

Yes, the bezel insert is very desirable and commands a substantial premium. Without the insert these watches would sell for around the price you listed above.

Unless you have absolute proof of its pedigree, you could be sorely disappointed later. A little more about this blueberry thing >>> https://watchpatina.com/2015/09/21/f...blueberry-gmt/

There may be several "hoards" of these inserts out in the wild...

This photo was picked off the internet several years ago; the good news is that you can source an after market piece for less than $50...

Do you know if they would fit a GMT Master II? If so could you PM me a link to where to get one?

A $20k premium for a bezel is ridiculous beyond any sense..

U r on the vintage forum. A little red writing would double the price. Or a little T would sell for 50k. Cheers.

Frankly I think the all-black GMT bezel is more attractive than all-blue. But I have pepsi!

I hear what your saying, but at the same time the same could be said for dials too. The fact is, there's a market for it.
