5513 or 14060
Not sure if this is covered but wanted to get your opinion.
Currently I have sub c which I bought new from AD. Now I am looking to get a daily watch on a strap or a nato. Which one should I go with? I don't know much about the watches so any information would be helpful. Ty all... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Welcome to TRF.
IMO your SubC is a great daily wearer. The 14060 and 5513 wear quite differently and will feel small in comparison. I own a 5513 from 67 and love the classic case and the acrylic crystal. I don't wear it everyday though. |

Ty you all. My sub c is on a bracelet & I would like a strap watch for daily wear.
I have small wrist and I feel that 5513 or 14060 will be great for my wrist. I am also inclining toward 5513 but the price difference is almost double so wanted to get your opinion.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

5513. I have the 5513's COSC stable mate, the 5512, and its a lovely watch. Although mine has a Rolex service dial, the acrylic crystal and large flat markers add bags of charm over the later models with raised markers and sapphire crystal. Its the best Sub to wear on a strap or Nato if you want some vintage charm.

I owned both for a while but sold the 14060 and kept the more classic 5513, which is a later model (1989) and I suppose only subtly different to the 14060 to the casual observer, the acrylic dome being the most obvious difference.

Keep the Sub C for your everyday watch and add a 5513 for weekends / special occasions.

5513 all day and FTW!!! I had a 14060M and while a great watch, it doesn't have the charm or personality of acrylic/matte.

I wouldn't bet a 5513 unless it did NOT have white gold surrounds. Otherwise, I'd opt for a cheaper 14060.
The matte dial and old school lume are nice...but as said, maybe not for daily wear. I'd hate to buy a vintage sub only to have the lume flake / crack off. I have heard of reinforcing the lume...imagine that means some sort of glue applied by a watchmaker... I kick myself for not getting a nice 5513 maybe 5 years ago for $5k usd. Seems they're mostly in the 7-9k range now. |

For a daily watch I'd say 14060. Acrylic may have some charm but sapphire is more practical for a 'wear everywhere and not worry about it' watch. They're cheaper too.

The sub C on a nice hodinkee or bulang strap would be an awesome daily wear.

TY all...its interesting to learn about pros/cons.
This is what I have on ebay which I like: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Stunning-Vin...IAAOSwMtxXt3Zi but then I also see: http://www.ebay.com/itm/SERVICED-198...EAAOSwIgNXwHw- or http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Role...8AAOSwLnBX2qJB so not sure which direction to go. |

I work from home and most of the time not wearing a watch...for me daily wear is when I go grab my lunch or go out for dinner in the evenings. So I am not worried about that.

You can daily wear a 5513 without any problem. If the premium is not a problem buy the 5513. You won't regret it.

I would get the 5513 over the 14060 all day.
