Advice Please

New member after opinions on a prospective purchase.
I have been chasing round the web looking for a Turn O Graph 116264 white face on a Jubilee band. Watchmaster have this for sale & I am thinking of taking the plunge. I believe this watch was last produced around 2011. This watch was first registered early in 2012. The pictures attached are the ones submitted to Watchmaster by the seller. I have seen quite a few images of late model TOG's & they all seem to come in a more modern box than the one displayed.
My question is is this an indication that this is an earlier production watch rather than an item produced around 2011?

Regards

Rog

Hi thanks for your reply. I did check out this thread ahead of dealing with Watchmaster. I don't have a beef with them. It's the info the original owner gives to Watchmaster I have doubts about. That's why the info you guys hold is so valuable to me.

It has a box from early 2000's and paper warranty, would have been a plastic card if it was newer than around 2007. It's an F serial number! 2003

I had a Z serial TOG that had the same paper warranty and current box. It was probably from around 2006 but purchased in 2011.

Looks like an F serial in the warranty, which puts production around 2003/2004.

Advice received

Thank you all for your help. I got in touch with Watchmaster & called off the deal. They said I was wise to carry out due diligence on the purchase. I wonder why they did not do the same?
They admitted that they should have removed the serial number prior to forwarding the image. I'm glad they did not. In future I will not buy any watch without knowing the date letter at least.
