Swiss - T < 25 ?
On my Dad's Explorer II, I noticed that it has the "Swiss - T<25" text on the bottom of the dial. What exactly does that "Swiss - T<25" mean?

"Swiss T<25" means that the watch contains a certain quantity of tritium that emits less than 925 MBq (25 mCi).

Correct; it, Tritium, is radioactive emitting safe levels hence the T<25 millicuries. Tritium is the material which caused the markers to glow while they had sufficient activity. Half life of the material is about 11 years and most Tritium dials have long since stopped glowing.

Up till 1960 Rolex used the word SWISS on bottom of dial then dials were then Radioactive Radium from around early 1960 on Rolex used T.Swiss.T less than 277 MBq (7.5mCi) and Swiss <T25 less than925 MBq (25mCi)on there dial depending on how much radioactivity they had from 1960 till mid/late 1998.Swiss only dials were then used with Luminovor from 1998 to 2000, then after 2000 back to Swiss Made bottom of the dial with Luminover re-named to Superluminovor and now we have chromolight which is more on the blue spectrum
