Two very different watches.
I went with the THC personally. Black dial. |

Price may be similar, but not even in the same league. Speedmaster Professional without question.

The answer lies in the watch trading market.
Speedmaster 3570.50 is classic and stunning on the wrist, can be spotted from a mile out, forever desired in the watch enthusiasts world, lots of strap options and fairly simple to service. THC is like a pretty new crush, good watch runs accurate, they seem to be forever on sale and slower to move. As a toy buy it cause it's fairly affordable, but as a timeless statement there's only one speedy.

I went with the THC, but I yield all the glory to the Speedy Pro.
I looked at the Omega many times over the years and never sprang for it. I looked at the black THC once and said to the AD owner, "That's my next watch."

I've got both and if pressed to pick a favorite I'd have to go withe the Speedy. The THC is a fantastic piece, but it doesn't have the history and iconic place in history that the Speedy has. The chunky case proportions lack the finesse of the Speedy, and no other Chrono can match the perfect symmetry and legibility, IMO. The downside to the Speedy is true water resistance, which would be a deal breaker if it were any only watch.

For history, looks, and collectibility, tough to beat the Speedy.

THC, for, among other things, the timezone bezel and the date (got to add a cyclops, though, for the added heritage look, better overall balance, and to be able to read the damn thing). Prefer the grey to the blue.

Both are beautiful watches.
There are a couple of Omega watches that I like, Speedmaster being one of them, although I must say when I saw it in person, it wasn't nearly as good looking as the pictures make it look. It looked somewhat lower quality compared to Rolex. I am just starting to warm up to Tudor, mainly after being on this forum and seeing nice things being said about them. Personally I always thought of Tudor as a watch with toy'ish look. Again, I am now starting to like the looks so no offense to those who own Tudor watches (probably on the horizon for me somewhere.) So there, for a watch newbie like me, a Speedmaster purchase will happen way before a Tudor.

I have been infatuated with the Moon watch for about as long as I've been interested in watches.
That said, I've owned both, and neither hung around. Just not me, I guess. |

A Speedy is a must have for any watch enthusiast's collection. I would even say that not having one in a collection isn't a collection at all. =)

I have both and they're great. The Speedmaster would be my choice if I could have just one, because I love me a manual wind movement.
