16610LV Kermit or 216570 Exp II
Okay, I am buying a new "to me" Rolex when I fly to Orlando on Wednesday for a business conference. I want some feedback from the peanut gallery on their thoughts between the two. I love both references, and I'm certainly open to either, based on condition, etc.
Here is my collection: - 16610 ("R" Serial #, which is the first year for the 16610 reference) - 5513 from 1981 (my favorite) - 16710 GMT II Pepsi (Y Serial) - 16570 Polar (W Serial) - 116600 SD4K on an Everest Strap (black rubber) My options: Explorer II with a black dial (216470) from DavidSW. - love this reference and think it would be a great addition next to the older Polar that I already have. 16610LV Kermit - It's a local guy who claims it's never been worn, still stickered, and a good price. Based on the bezel, it's from a later year of production (not a Flat 4 bezel) I love both of these references, price is similar (within $500), both offer full box/papers.....and I think I probably answered my own question!!! As a caveat, yes I have handled the Hulk, and yes, I like it but it just doesn't sing to me like the Kermit does.... |
