Tudor Ranger 79910 Clasp Question

As I sat there wondering what would be a fantastic everyday piece I had a moment of clarity and then it clicked.

The Tudor Ranger. Yes, I know, not very popular around here but it is exactly what I am looking for in my next piece.

Only issue is the bund strap, not a fan quite frankly. So for anyone that has the Ranger, is it possible to remove the deployant clasp and reinstall it on a different strap? I'd probably go with some kind of distressed leather but need to be certain I can use that clasp.

As long as the replacement strap is the same width and similar thickness, yes, I would think so. If I were you, though, I would buy it on the SS bracelet, then sell that separately on TRF for a few hundred bucks (some folks like to wear it with the Black Bay), and spend that on some nice leather straps.

Yes you can use the clasp as long as it's the right size. I think the deployment clasp is a 18mm size. I have a Tudor Ranger and it's received more wrist time than all my other timepieces (and I have a lot of watches).

So my assumption is that it tapers at 18mm ? Because it is 22mm at the springbars if I am not mistaken.

Here's the Ranger on a couple of leather straps I that bought from Rios. As you can see in the second pic, the winding crown pops out far enough to make it east to wind/set on the Bund strap, which seems to be an overlooked benefit of this model.
