"Deadwood"
Who got in to "Deadwood" and, was it worth watching the whole series?
This is a Showtime show that I just started watching the 3rd season re-runs on. I've liked it so far but, is it worth watching from the beginning? Terry newton

Hi Terry, I never really got into it, I drop out in season two. I believe that was HBO that aired the show.
One that I really enjoyed was 6 feet under I own the whole complete season and I watched one episode every day to the very end. I believe it had the best ending even better than the Sopranos.

Deadwood is one of the greatest series I have ever seen. The first two seasons in particular are the best. Absolutley captivating, original dialogue, a true drama. I rented the first season from my local video store a few years back and painfully had to wait for the next two seasons to come out.

Terry -
Not only is Deadwood dead-on historically (with liberties for fiction, of course), but the acting is outrageously good. When HBO dropped it I was frustrated that they didn't go on, but still satisfied. If you watch if from the beginning, you see Wild Bill Hickok (and why they call aces and eights "dead man's hand"). Hope you can see it all, bro, it's worth it!

I tried Deadwood and didn't care for it. It just didn't speak to me, I guess. I went nuts for The Wire though. Watched the 1st 4 seasons straight through from Netflix (don't have HBO), and then waited impatiently for the 5th, which I finished watching last week.
Awesome television. Stupendously written. Jeannie |

Terry, you will love it. Be prepared though, in one of the episodes, I think it set the record for the most times the F word was said in an hour.

I think Scarface has that record and they sustained it for about 2.5 hours.

Great show - not happy it was not picked up - there was so much more they could have done with those characters - acting was great as well

JJ may benefit, but it's really just an infommercial for Viagra.
