Thanks Adam! Always a cool photo op when the yachts round the mark at the "heads" to turn south. Love watching when the show "Rolex Spirit of Yachting" does a episode on that race. Thanks for posting.

Never really had the chance to become a fan of yacht racing but those photos are incredible. Especially the 3rd one where you can see the keel (is that the right part?) just under the water line.

WoW! I love sailing! When I see boats like those...Dreams dreams dreams...
Thanks for sharing!!
One question, the watch is only for the captain or for all the crew too??

The favourites wild oats are regulars for breakfast at flying fish across from my place, a 100 foot super maxi is a sexy thing...... they had to turn around while in front but they have one 9 times before.....

Mark Richards the skipper for Wild Oats has won that race like 9 times! He's also the founder, CEO of Palm Beach Yachts. Absolutely beautiful boats. Sort of a combo of Hinckley, San Juan (out of business), Shelter Island look.. Beautiful looking yachts. I saw him at the Newport RI show this past September as they had 3 of their boats on display.

quick question:

does everyone on the boat get a prize watch. or just the captain?
